The iX3 is BMW's first fully electric SUV and the beginning of an electric age for the brand. Innovative technology that ensures efficiency
Enrich the driving experience with BMW's new IconicSounds Electric, designed in collaboration with Hans Zimmer. This includes a sound design with specially composed tones when you start, switch off the car and during the ride. You might even feel a bit like a musical conductor yourself, thanks to AirTouch technology that allows you to answer calls and operate the infotainment system without touching the screen, but simply using your own hand gestures.
The iX3 also features a new cloud-based navigation system which provides more precise route and arrival times, as well as mid-journey recharge stop-recommendations.
Fantastic driving dynamics and fast charging
Besides providing a comfortable driving experience, the iX3's performance is also worth mentioning. The car has 286 hp and drives from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds - just below BMW's petrol-powered X3 xDrive30i.
Powered by a single electric motor that drives the rear wheels, the iX3 can reach a top speed of 180 km/h and a range up to 460 km in just one charge. As an upgrade, the iX3 is available with powerful 20” wheels, designed to smooth airflow along the side of the car and thus improve the range.
A charging power of up to 150 kW ensures that charging breaks will not last too not long, as the BMW iX3 charges to 80 % in about 34 minutes.
