BMW i4

Available for several years now, the electric BMW 4-Series has managed to carve out a comfortable position for itself in the business market. Lease drivers appreciate it for its sleek coupé design, its handy fifth door, its high-tech interior with Curved Display and, of course, its driving performance. There are four versions to choose from: eDrive35, eDrive40, xDrive40 (with all-wheel drive) and M50. The second version promises the greatest range: its 81 kWh battery will get you 600 km, according to WLTP.

BMW iX1

It may not surprise you that BMW's compact electric crossover is the most popular leasing model today. It takes over the torch from the iX3, which is on its last legs and will be replaced at the end of next year. The entry-level ‘eDrive20’ version of the iX1 offers a good value-for-money driving range ratio: it gets 475 km from its 65 kWh battery. The all-wheel-drive top version ‘xDrive30’ is a lot more powerful and yet also rounds the 440km mark according to the WLTP.

Polestar 4

Is it a sedan or an SUV? Polestar is sticking with the latter, despite its pronounced coupé shapes and rear-window-less rear end. The fact is that it will appeal to lease drivers who want something different. There is a choice of three versions, which have one or two engines and are mated to the standard or large battery. The 272 hp Long Range Single Motor is the most chosen Polestar 4: with its 94 kWh battery, it achieves around 620 kilometres according to the WLTP.

Tesla Model 3

This evergreen is a regular in the top 10 most popular electric lease cars. Tesla's compact sedan continues to offer great value for money and is one of the most efficient cars on the market. The digital ecosystem is an asset for many. Your phone is your key and almost all car functions are controlled via the large touchscreen. There are four versions: two with single engine and two with Dual Engine. The Long Range RWD officially gets 702 km from one battery charge.

BMW iX3

Today, BMW's mid-size SUV is still in the top 10, but that may change in the coming months. After all, the current iX3 is sold out: it is running on its last legs and the remaining production has been completely taken up. With a bit of luck, you can still get a stock vehicle... If you have the luxury of waiting another year, you can order its successor. It promises to be even more energy efficient and will no longer be built in China, but in Germany.

Volvo EX40

No longer say XC40 Recharge, but EX40. Volvo's mid-size SUV model will be given this name to match the new nomenclature introduced by the EX30. That, like the EX40 and its coupé derivative, the EC40, will come off the production line in Ghent from mid-2025. The EX40 is no longer the youngest, but it has been substantially updated. The standard version takes you up to 479 km, the Extended Range makes it a nice 576 km.

Tesla Model Y

Tesla's mid-size SUV has been leading the sales statistics in Europe for two years and it has also become incontournable in Belgium. The Tesla Model Y is on the same platform as the Model 3 and therefore shares the bulk of its components with it. The versions (motors, batteries) are therefore similar. Compared to that ‘3’, the ‘Y’ is a lot more practical and spacious, though. It also offers the largest trunk in its segment and can be fitted with two extra seats in the rear as an option.

Audi Q4 e-tron

In the premium compact SUV segment, the Q4 e-tron holds its own. Its timeless design, spacious interior, handsome trim and comfortable driving range appeal to a lot of EV drivers. Regardless of the version, you get a 77 kWh net battery, which at best can provide power for 579 km. Then, of course, you may not be too lavish with the Q4 e-tron's power, which ranges from 210 to 340 kW depending on the version.

XPENG G6

The name XPENG may not mean much to you. Logically, the brand has only just launched in our country, but it has not missed its entrance. The 4.75-metre-long G6 aims its arrows at the heart of the business SUV segment. An 87.5 kWh battery, 800 V technology that allows it to charge super-fast, generous equipment and a very refined finish are its main assets. And admit it, it looks far from bad...

XPENG G9

The G6's big brother is called G9 and packs just as much punch with things like 800V technology, hyper-complete equipment, handsome finishing and futuristic looks. You may situate it in the segment of the Mercedes EQE SUV and the Audi Q6 e-tron. The Long Range features a 98 kWh battery that takes it 570 km far between charges. Those run very quickly on a DC fast charger, as the G9 can handle up to 315 kW. 18 minutes are enough to charge from 10 to 80%.
