Answers to frequently asked questions from drivers
If you have an accident or the car is stolen, always call the police first. If it’s a long-term rental, you should also notify the rental station. If it’s a short-term rental, please call the car rental company’s service hotline. You’ll find the number in your rental contract – and on the windscreen in some cases.
Your employer has agreed specific rental car categories with LeasePlan which will be made available to employees requesting a replacement vehicle. We can only provide you with an available model corresponding to the agreed category. It isn’t possible to choose the make and model of rental car.
We bill rental cars at a day rate. One day is precisely 24 hours, commencing with the time when the vehicle is rented. For example, if the rental commences on Monday at 8:00h, and is returned on Tuesday at 10:00h, we will bill it for two days.

Please notify our rental car partner as soon as the vehicle is ready for collection. You’ll find the phone number in your booking confirmation. The vehicle should always be returned with a full tank of fuel. If you can’t be present for the handover, we recommend that you take photos of the car and the fuel gauge. You can also call our reservation centre on +49 211 91358221 to let them know you’ve dropped off the car.
