EVs and their costs
How much does it cost to drive an EV?
How much does it cost to charge an EV?
The price depends on several things: Eg. the current price of electricity, whether you have a fixed charging subscription, whether you charge at home or in the infrastructure.
If you charge in the infrastructure, it can be more expensive to charge than if you charge at home. When you charge on the road, you pay the rate set by the charging station operator. In addition to a kWh price, the operator can also charge a starting price.
If you have your own charger, or use a charging cable for an ordinary socket, it costs the ordinary electricity price to charge the EV. Thus, it is this price and the size of the battery that determine the price of a full charge. However, you must remember that with some electricity companies the electricity price fluctuates on an hourly basis depending on how much power is used.
It may also be advantageous to look at charging solutions in the form of subscriptions with the respective charging providers. Here, for example, you can buy a subscription where you pay a fixed monthly price and can then charge unlimited.
