What is claims handling and claims management?
We've it all in one place
Claims management is when LeasePlan thinks about your mobility - that is, so you can move on. Claims handling refers to the process by which the insurance company handles and evaluates a claim from a policyholder.
Why have we gathered it all in one place? At LeasePlan, we have combined claims management and claims handling in one and the same house. With one point of contact, we handle all administration and policies. This means, among other things, that reviews and approval of repairs are done easily on either app or phone, and you as a driver quickly return to your work. As a fleet administrator, you don't have to correspond with both the leasing company and the insurance company, as we take care of everything.
It is part of what we call 3-dimensional coverage.
It has its advantages
1. Quick response: By having an internal claims handling process, we can respond more quickly to claim reports. There is often less bureaucracy and this allows claims to be handled more efficiently.
2. Better control: By keeping claims handling in-house, we have better control over the process. This ensures that our own standards and procedures are followed, which contributes to a more uniform and predictable treatment of claims.
3. Adaption to specific needs: An internal claims handling process is tailored to our specific needs. This makes it easier to adapt the process to the company's industry, culture and strategy.
