The Association for the Study of Spinal Cord Injury is a private entity of national scope and non-profit, which has been declared of public utility for its dedication to the prevention of accidents that cause spinal cord injury and brain.

At the tribute ceremony, LeasePlan CEO, Alberto Sáez, presented AESLEME Director, Mar Cogollos, with the sculpture that symbolizes the ideals of the company's White Paper on Road Safety, and whose corporate pillars are included in the "Active Prevention" initiative:

The multinational, patron of this Foundation, has decided to increase its annual contribution by 60 percent in 2020, as a sign of gratitude for the road safety education campaigns and the comprehensive support offered to accident victims and their families in their 30 years of life. In the words of Alberto Sáez, "we have been associated with AESLEME for more than two decades, and we cannot overlook its active contribution to social awareness to prevent road accidents that, in many cases, have irreversible consequences. In this sense, LeasePlan together with this organization collaborates in regular actions with its employees and customers to improve road safety, an issue that affects us and should involve us all".

It should be noted that the analysis of the LeasePlan Road Safety unit on the frequency of road accidents in its fleet determines that this will be reduced by 22% this year. In addition to the drop in accidents due to the decrease in mobility as a result of the Covid-19, the prevention and road safety plans that LeasePlan implements in its fleet are resulting in this reduction of accidents, which highlights the objectives and goals of the company in relation to the ISO 39001 certification of which it is the holder of solvency since 2016
