LeasePlan, the leader in Car as a Service, has reached an agreement with Movistar to develop connectivity and safety by incorporating the Movistar Car device in its vehicles for new leasing contracts.
This agreement is part of the context of boosting the digital transformation in which Spain is immersed with a view to 2025 and represents a further step towards the future of mobility.
For LeasePlan, the agreement with Movistar represents a step forward in national policies on digital autonomy of the vehicle, as the new device allows the driver to check that everything is in order before and during the journey. And all this through a mobile application and the installation of an OBD (On Board Diagnostic) adapter.
The Movistar Car device makes connected, smart and reliable cars available to drivers. This innovative technology offers drivers a new experience beyond driving, thanks to all its connectivity options. In short, it is an initiative that is committed to greater democratisation of access to the latest mobility technologies.
In addition, this innovative device has many other advantages that will allow users to drive more comfortably and safely. Among them, from 3 GB/month to browse for free from the car and without mobile tariff consumption, GPS location of the vehicle, customisable alerts, direct consultation of journeys made, direct channel with emergencies and even other functionalities related to the state of the vehicle and the way of driving.
