Cherished plates

Yes, you can add a private registration plate to a lease vehicle. This will need to be removed and the original plates fitted back on before the end of your contract.

We'll ask you to pay a transfer fee of £122 on our Payment LeasePlan website, made made up of a £35 (plus VAT) LeasePlan administration fee and a £80 DVLA charge. Once we have this, we'll work with the DVLA to process your application and let you know when it's done.

We'll then send you the authority letter and a copy of the V5 that you'll need to get the plates.
