Customers with a Direct Lease
The majority of vehicles that LeasePlan offers are brand new. However, you do have the option to opt for a demo vehicle which has been used by dealerships in the past for display purposes or test drives. They are used cars in good condition. One thing to be aware of is that the warranty on these cars will be shorter.
You can also opt for a stock vehicle which will result in shorter lead times as stock vehicles are already built.
If your contract includes maintenance, we'll replace the tyres if they're damage, punctured or below 2mm.
Our online booking service is for non urgent repairs and replacements. You can access that here.
For urgent repairs, please call the DriverLine and select the option for 'Tyres' and one of our team members will assist you.
This depends on your contract type. For example, if you're on a Personal Contract Hire (PCH), there is no option to purchase your lease vehicle.

If you wish to place a personalised number plate on a new vehicle, transfer or remove it, contact us. We'll talk you through the process and work with the DVLA on your behalf to ensure that the transfer is completed. At each step of the process, we'll keep you informed of how we're doing and when you can update your vehicle with the relevant registration number.
When changing your company car, let us know as soon as possible if you have a personalised plate that needs transferring.

Leasing customers wishing to take their vehicle abroad must request a VE103 which proves to the authorities that you can drive a LeasePlan owned vehicle.
Please request Foreign Travel Documents 2-4 weeks before you plan to travel abroad (depending upon time of year) Please be aware that there may be a small charge to provide documents depending on your contract. For travel to some countries in Europe, you'll also be provided with a Green Card which will be your proof of insurance.

Whne you order a vehicle through us, it will likely come with a manufacturer warranty.
If your lease includes servicing and maintenance, you can arrange your service, or mechanical repair. To find out what your lease includes, check your contract or contact your fleet manager. If you need further help, call us on 0345 250 0000.
For every fine/PCN that we process, there is an admin fee of £15 charged. If you successfully appeal the fine/PCN, we will refund the admin fee.
The RAC refers to 7 signs that your car needs a service | RAC Drive and this can be used to identify tell-tale signs that car needs a service. However, you should book cars in for a service once a year or every 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Personal Conract Hire (PCH) is a form of leasing, yes. It's often the cheapest way to lease a car and at the end of your contract, you'll hand the car back.
You'll make an initial rental payment (typically 3 or 6 rentals in advance), and you'll also be asked to consider your annual mileage and term of your lease. You'll then make a monthly payment for the rest of your lease.
Returning your car When you reach the end of your contract, as long as you've stuck to the agreed mileage, and the car doesn't have any damage not covered by the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association's guidelines, then you can hand the car back without any charges. We encourage you to look through these guides for cars or vans.

This is the weight of the vehicle and trailer including the maximum load that can be carried safely on the road.
Licenses held from AFTER 1st Jan 1997 You are entitled to drive a vehicle up to 3.5tonnes (Maximum Authorised Mass), towing a trailer of up to 750kg (MAM)- i.e. a combined weight of up to 4.25 tonnes in total A trailer over 750kg (MAM) can be towed as long as it is not more than the Unladen (Kerb) weight of the towing vehicle - with a combined weight of up to 3.5 tonnes in total
Licenses held from AFTER 19th January 2013 You are entitled to drive a vehicle towing a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg Trailers weighing more than 750kg where the COMBINED weight of the towing vehicle and the trailer (loaded) isn't more than 3,500kg To tow beyond these weights requires a further test to obtain a B+E entitlement on your license.
Servicing, MOT and repairs All vehicles are serviced in line with the manufacturer's recommended servicing intervals at our preferred supplier network. If you book a service in advance we’ll arrange collection and delivery of your vehicle (subject to availability) Likewise, any repairs required are also carried out through our quality controlled supplier network. We can offer a replacement vehicle if the work takes longer than expected - subject to your contract.
Tyres Premium brand tyres are fitted by our approved suppliers. We replace all tyres with a tread depth of 2mm or less across the central 3 quarters of the tread band (the legal minimum is 1.6mm). To make life a little easier, we can also offer a mobile tyre replacement at your home or workplace.
After making sure you're safe, you'll need to report this to your insurers. They will need to contact LeasePlan by emailing totalloss@leaseplan.co.uk confirming the incident date, category of loss and last known mileage.
Depending on your insurance policy, some may look to replace the vehicle and some will look to settle the agreement.
Its important to ensure the old agreement has been settled before entering into a new agreement.

If you don't maintenance in your contract with us, please reach out to a breakdown recovery provider of your choice.
It is recommended not to attempt to start the car, rather get it towed. Once in a safe area, stop and dey the car out.
Only drive the vehicle if you are certain no water has entered the engine or electric system
File a claim with your insurance company and get the car checked by a professional- water ingress can often cause further damage over time
Leasing a car means that you rent a vehicle for an agreed amount of time and for an agreed fixed fee. There are many options to choose from, depending on your own circumstances, and whether you’re leasing for yourself or as part of a business.
Leasing a vehicle is often a more cheaper option compared to buying outright, and you get access to new vehicles without worrying about the depreciation.
You can also opt-in to our maintenance contract for an additional cost which will offer you a number of benefits such as: A dedicated booking line number with access to our approved network of garages. Servicing and routine maintenance, all mechanical repairs or replacements, including ‘unexpected’ costs, such as a new clutch or gearbox.* All electrical repairs or replacements including tyre replacements for anything except tyres damaged through driver misuse* (so this includes normal tyre wear, punctures and blow-outs). Replacement tyre repair canisters for cars with no spare wheel*. Replacement of items failing due to normal wear and tear, including bulbs, batteries, brakes, exhausts, wiper blades and so on*. MOT tests (from three years onwards). Cars can be collected for servicing from, and delivered to, a home or office if booked in advance through our DriverLine - subject to garage's availability. Roadside repair whenever possible with around nine in ten cases fixed at the roadside (source: AA data). Recovery of the vehicle to an onward destination. • Free-of-charge replacement vehicle for 24 hours (subject to availability). • Home breakdown assistance • European roadside repair, recovery and repatriation* • Onward travel including 24-hour car hire • Foreign travel documentation service (subject to a document fee).
We have a handful of exclusions for vehicle maintenance - none of which will be a surprise*:
• Repair or replacement of parts due to driver error, damage or negligence (including misfuelling). •Tyres damaged due to misuse. • Repairs due to accidents (whether at fault or not), impacts, vandalism, theft or misuse. • Missing or broken items (such as badges or wheel trims). • Vandalised or stolen wheels, tyres or mechanical parts. • Lubricants, AdBlue or fluid top-ups between service intervals. • Vehicle glass. • Adding or removing artwork or lettering. • Washing, frost damage, valeting or waxing. • Some limitations apply to European breakdown cover.
Please be aware that LeasePlan approved garages and tyre fitters must be used and all work has to be authorised by LeasePlan before it begins.
With contract hire, a type of car finance available to companies, sole traders, partnerships and individuals, typically you can choose between a 24, 36, and 48 month long contract to suit your needs. At the end of your contract, you return the car to the leasing company.
Personal lease contracts range from 24, 36, 48 and 60 month contracts.
Do not start the engine!
If you put the wrong fuel in your vehicle and you have breakdown cover in your contract, call 0345 250 0000 and select 'Breakdown' option. Otherwise, please call your own breakdown service provider to arrange recovery.
This is paid 14 days after the delivery of the car.
On the LeasePlan website, vehicles listed as 'in stock' are available and can be delivered within 2-8 weeks.
Initial payments are a sum paid upfront that is taken off the total cost of the lease, with the remaining amount spread over the length of the contract term, which is paid off in fixed monthly instalments. It is paid in order to secure your lease.
