LeasePlan has selected Onfido as our digital verification tool for all our customers. This tool has been approved by the European Central Bank (ECB) as a secure and reliable system for verifying your identity. You can learn more about Onfido here.
LeasePlan is required to collect and verify additional information on yourself or your organisation to comply with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and European Banking Authority's identification and verification regulations for Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing. By law we have to maintain updated and accurate records on all our customers.
Individuals leasing a car
No, once Onfido has confirmed your identity, you won't have to do this annually as that's all we need.
Limited companies
No, once Onfido has confirmed your legal representative or legal owner’s identity, you won't have to do this annually. The only time this process will need to be re-done is if/when your organisation's legal representation or ownership changes. We’ll reach out to you to let you know that this needs to be done again.
By law, we need you to provide us with extra information.
