If you have a maintenance package with us, when the vehicle arrives on-site, our fitter will carry out a health check and will submit the vehicle mileage and the tyre detail, tread and condition of the existing tyres. They'll also confirm the reason for repair or replacement and provide details of the tyre/s they intend to fit to the vehicle. Assuming all details match the booking request, and the tyre being fitted matches the tyre we asked them to fit at the booking, the job will ‘auto authorise’.
To ensure we are managing tyre replacements safely, that we are not replacing tyres unnecessarily, and that we are replacing tyres within our policy guidelines, there are rules in place around additional work requests, mileage between changes, reasons for replacement and tyre history that may cause the job to ‘defer’ for manual intervention - particularly if details differ from the booking request - allowing our specialist tyre team to review. The average tyre authorisation time takes around 10 minutes.
**If you don't have a maintenance package **included in your contract with us, and need replacement tyres, please visit a VAT-registered garage of your own choice. Remember to keep all receipts on you for any work done to the vehicle, as we may request this at the end of your contract.
