Permits, fines & cherished plates
Parking & permits
Different councils operate this a little differently, so it's best to check your local rules by entering your postcode into the government website here and then you can check how to apply for a permit.
If you need proof the vehicle is yours to get a permit, you may need an authority letter and documentation, please contact us by clicking on the orange icon on the bottom right of the screen.
You can ask your customer services team for a 'Confirmation of Hire' document which proves you're the driver of the vehicle. Please contact us for guidance by clicking on the orange icon on the bottom right of the screen.
If you need immediate access to your vehicle, cannot locate a spare key, and your contract includes breakdown or recovery with LP Assist, please call 0344 493 5812 and press 1 for breakdown assistance.
If you have access to your vehicle using the spare keys, you'll need an authorisation letter from us to get new keys from the manufacturer.
If you don't have breakdown cover with LeasePlan, please contact your breakdown provider.
You can request a 'Confirmation of Hire' agreement from LeasePlan to get your vehicle back from from the police pound.
