Perform and review the quarterly external auditor review process:

 

Responsible for preparing and delivering the items requested by the external auditor in high quality and in line with agreed timelines

 

Example of an activity:

 

Provide the calculation of the valuation allowance for stock items with supporting memo explain the quarter end position

 

Assessment of data quality and completeness:

 

Monthly review of the data reported by the reporting entities to ensure completeness, correct understanding of accounting rules and reporting requirements, signal unexpected movements, advise reporting entities and ascertain compliance with the Group’s Accounting and Reporting Manual (ARM)

 

Example of an activity:

 

Review and analyze the cash flow statement per reporting entity, identify areas for improvement and follow up by contacting a specific entity, defining additional validation rules for the SAP BPC consolidation and reporting application or improve the relevant chapter of the Accounting and Reporting manual 

 

Continuous improvement:

 

Optimize the group’s quarterly closing process, by actively monitoring timeliness and quality of the data reported and taking actions to improve

 

Example of an activity:

 

Prepare a plan to improve the quarterly closing process and delivery to the external auditor, based on discussions and feedback. 

 

Contribute to key projects in the finance function

 

Be part of key projects in the finance function and act as a driver for success

 

Example of an activity:

 

Work with IT / Regulatory reporting team to build IFRS 9 reporting process

Organizational information

 

 

Minimum requirements:

• Degree in Finance / Accounting

• Extensive experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint

• Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience in a reporting / accounting role

• Work experience with SAP BPC

• English (fluent, verbally and written)
