The person who occupies the role of Economist in general economics is responsible for preparing monthly accounting processes in accordance with the schedule and applicable accounting standards, accurately verifying and preparing accounting records (accounts, cost centers).

Responsibilities:

  • Makes accounting records in accordance with local accounting standards and IFRS if applicable.
  • Creates the company's assets in SAP, runs the related depreciation, and reconciles fixed assets in accounting with those physically existing.
  • Ensuring the correctness of relevant bookkeeping and preparing and reviewing all tax declarations properly on time.
  • Ensures the correct implementation and maintenance of internal controls and ensures the elaboration of working procedures.
  • Performs payments to suppliers.
  • Performs payroll bookings and reconciliations
  • Verifies the accuracy of accounting entries, allocates them (accounts and cost centers), and corrects them if necessary.
  • Maintaining collaboration with the finance team and department managers.
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports for the finance team and stakeholders.
  • Providing support for internal and external audits.
  • Creating robust documentation, continuously updating it, storing, and sharing it with the team and direct manager.
  • Managing other activities related to LPSC deliverables when requested (e.g., reporting activities, testing the functionality of new applications – support in the implementation and stabilization of SAP, process analyses requested by the direct coordinator, quality control activities).

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field would be a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in finance roles
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to details and ability to meet deadlines
  • Fluent in English written and spoken
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
