About the role

Asset risk (Residual Value, Repair Maintenance Tyres) is the main risk of Ayvens. Asset risk management is key to achieve the strategic and financial objectives of the company, which is currently strengthening the central LOD1 Asset risk function to reinforce the risk framework in the context of changing technological and macroeconomic conditions. Asset risk is key, at the crossroads of strategy, pricing, risk and finance and it ensures that business activities related to asset (risk) management are conducted in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements and policies. The role of LOD1 is to take and manage asset risk to achieve strategic and financial company objectives within the limits of Ayven’s risk appetite, by identifying, assessing and responding to risks related to asset management, in particular through Asset (risk) management reporting & steering, necessary to better understand risks, optimize decision-making, resources allocation and profitability, while managing the volatility.

Responsibilities

Asset risk business control

  • Monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly RV and RMT development and KPIs, identify deviations;
  • Communicate with entities to understand deviations, analyse root causes and propose interventions;
  • Monitor and analyse financial and operational performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary;
  • Establish and maintain strong business control processes to ensure compliance and risk management;
  • Develop and maintain asset risk management and financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company vehicle assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting;

Data analytics and reporting

  • Support the collection, maintenance, and analysis of asset risk related data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the leasing portfolio;
  • Prepare and analyse business requirements for data needed for vehicle asset management and valuation purposes;
  • Define requirements for data quality, analyse data sets and follow-up in proposing remedial actions to improve data sets used in vehicle asset (risk) management and valuation;
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting tools to provide insights into vehicle asset risk management and valuation and performance metrics; Prepare periodic reporting for stakeholders (ExCo, board, investors, auditors, regulators, press);
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, based on requests from senior stakeholders;

Stakeholder collaboration

  • Serve as a key liaison between finance and other departments, providing expertise and support to drive business results;
  • Collaborate with asset risk team (second line of defence), IT and other departments to continuously improve the asset related data, implement controls and perform reconciliations between operational and financial data;
  • Work closely with senior leadership, commercial teams, and external partners to provide insights that inform strategic decision making;

Qualifications and requirements

  • Strong understanding of business control principles, internal controls, and risk management frameworks;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to provide actionable insights;
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners;
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision making;
  • Effective communicator and collaborator;
  • Master’s degree in economics, business, statistics, mathematics, data analytics, or related field ;
  • Knowledge of risk management principles or financial reporting is a plus;
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and car leasing principles is a strong plus Excellent command of English Experience;
  • Minimum of 4-6 years relevant work experience in a reporting, data and/or risk analysis or controlling role ideally in automotive industry or finance;
  • Experience in international environment IT Applications;
  • Excellent in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SAS, PowerBI, or other business intelligence tools;
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases is a strong plus • Solid command of PowerPoint;
